According to the principal roles and responsibilities of COSTECH as per Act No. 7 of 1986, it organizes, participates and sponsors various conferences which bring together researchers, scientists, academics, innovators, students, government practitioners and private sectors to discuss different issues regarding science, technology and innovation in Tanzania. In this case, COSTECH typically plans a full agenda of events that include keynote speeches, panel discussions, breakout sessions and social events. The attendees of these conferences may come from all over the world.

COSTECH has participated in different conferences such as NIMR Annual Joint Scientific Conference, The 3rd UDSM Annual Conference on Research and Inclusive Development, The 1st International Conference on Digital Transformation.
