National Fund for Advancement of Science and Technology (NFAST) managed under COSTECH is

 applied for, through either open call or commissioned call

, strategically positioned to carter for research. Recently, COSTECH using the setup and experience of NFAST and experiences from other existing or existed innovation funds has established and institutionalized an innovation fund window within NFAST, which under the current situation is direly needed. This innovation fund window will increase opportunities for different actors to innovate and thereby to the build-up of a National Innovation System. Also will enable innovator to innovate together with researchers, hence reduce the existing weak linkages between research/higher education institutions and the private sector.
